El Dorado Seaside Suites Resorts in Riveria Maya, Mexico: An All-inclusive Resort Review

Image
A romantic dinner on the beach    November brought the cold winds, but now snow to the city of Philadelphia. Which is the worst kind of weather. November also brought my two year anniversary! We really wanted warm weather so I planned us a trip to Rivera Maya, Mexico! We stayed at the all-inclusive El Dorado Seaside Suites. The following blog post is about our experience at this beautiful resort. I wish I could share more photos, but my phone broke on this trip :( El Dorado Seaside Suites Overview (Not my photo)    El Dorado Seaside Suites is apart of Karisma resorts and has many sister resorts in Caribbean destinations. This particular resort is one of the smaller resorts. It is an adults-only resort located in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It is about an hour from the Cancun International Airport and about 20 minutes from the town of Playa del Carmen.  The Resort itself is quite big, yet absolutely gorgeous at every corner with multiple flowers, tr...

A Pandemic Stay-Cation: The William Vale

For those who know me, I turned 21 in August! Unfortunately, my 21st was during COVID19, but that did not stop me from having the best birthday yet! Our day started with breakfast in bed and led to a stay at The William Vale in Brooklyn, NY. How I recommend this amazing hotel! (which is just starting to open up with a sparkling clean sanitation protocol and great service).

The sunset from our balcony

With COVID19 prevention measures in action, the hotel is only running at 25% occupancy. Above this, in order to use the pool or rooftop bar, you must make a reservation to follow COVID protocol. In all the main areas you must wear a mask, but when you are seated with your own travel partners a mask is not required. The safety measures and extra sanitation really helped us feel safe.

Morning Mimosas, puppy cuddles, and great views

It was super easy to make a reservation at the pool. They give you a two-hour time slot. However, you can book as many time slots as you want if there is availability. The pool area has multiple cabanas and couches amongst the regular sun tanning chairs for an additional cost. It had gorgeous views being on the 18th floor. The area also included a pool sidebar. This is where I ordered my first legal drink! The bartenders were very friendly. I told them it was my birthday and he mixed me up a special birthday cocktail. I still don't know what it was called and what was in it, but I wish I did because it was delicious.

The view from the pool area

Our room was absolutely amazing with a balcony overlooking the NYC skyline. As my birthday came to a close we saw the most amazing thing. It was the sun setting across the manhattan river behind the city skyline. It was breathtaking and leads me to believe that 21 is going to be a good year. Although sunset was the best just the sparkling lights of the city were enchanting to watch. We actually stayed up most of the night soaking up the skyline.

We love the shimmering Lights                                      The start of the most incredible sunset

West Light is the rooftop bar on top of the hotel. I would come here for the bar alone, it is the best rooftop bar I have ever been to. Located on the 22nd floor with 360-degree views were to die for. There were multiple binoculars to use around the rooftop so you can really take in what you are looking at. The service was amazing. The menu consisted of any drink you can think of and delicious appetizers. I highly recommend the calamari. They do have entries here, however we only came for drinks and a snack, well, and the view!

Our view and for cocktails and our reaction to it

Overall our one night stay here was extremely fun and sanitary! As I am sure you are, we needed a small getaway from our own house. If it is to celebrate a special occasion or to just get out of the house, this is was the perfect way to do it. And the best part? The entire hotel including the pool area was pet friendly!
