El Dorado Seaside Suites Resorts in Riveria Maya, Mexico: An All-inclusive Resort Review

Image
A romantic dinner on the beach    November brought the cold winds, but now snow to the city of Philadelphia. Which is the worst kind of weather. November also brought my two year anniversary! We really wanted warm weather so I planned us a trip to Rivera Maya, Mexico! We stayed at the all-inclusive El Dorado Seaside Suites. The following blog post is about our experience at this beautiful resort. I wish I could share more photos, but my phone broke on this trip :( El Dorado Seaside Suites Overview (Not my photo)    El Dorado Seaside Suites is apart of Karisma resorts and has many sister resorts in Caribbean destinations. This particular resort is one of the smaller resorts. It is an adults-only resort located in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It is about an hour from the Cancun International Airport and about 20 minutes from the town of Playa del Carmen.  The Resort itself is quite big, yet absolutely gorgeous at every corner with multiple flowers, tr...

Five Thing to do that are FREE in Barcelona

Barcelona is one of my favorite cities I have been to. I first visited at the age of sixteen to study abroad for the summer and have revisited the city twice since. It is filled with amazing culture, great food, and stunning architecture. There is something for everyone to do. Additionally, those activities do not need to break your budget!

     1. Bunkers del Carmel

The bunkers are old ruins of an army stand used during the civil war 1936-1939. It located on top of a great hill with 360-degree views of the city. The views here are breathtaking and the best in Barcelona. From one side you can see the entire city all the way to the shoreline. On the opposite, you can just barely make out the Ferris wheel on top of Mount Masssirate. This is the perfect place to take a blanket and a bottle of wine to enjoy the sunset, you will not be disappointed!

  2. Walking tours of the gothic quarter

The gothic quarter of Barcelona has some of the most stunning architecture. Walking through the narrow streets it feels as if you are walking through mystical history. There are quite a few companies that provide FREE walking tours in this part of the city. Most of these companies will run a walking tour once or twice every day in the summer months. Runner Bean Walking Tours is the one I took. You can visit their website and find their time schedules.

    3. Of course some beach time

I am always a sucker for the beach. Barceloneta offers a large beach with warm waters. Like most beaches in Europe, it is clothing optional. It is one of the best feelings to suntan those free titties! On the beach here you will find vendor selling varieties of drinks (including mojitos!). You will also find a lot of nightlife promoters on the boardwalk. If you love to dance, I recommend talking to the promoters, they usually will give a flyer for free entry or drink!

    4. The magic fountain

I actually went on my first date ever at 16 here. It was one of the most romantic dates. With a lovely walk through the street of the fountain to get the big one. With music playing, we watched as the fountain danced with colors for us. Fun bonus, you will usually see street performers around this area, they put on some very talented shows.

    5. Parque de la cuĂdela

I believe this is one of the most beautiful parks in Barcelona. Located close to the center city, it is the perfect place to get away from the usual hustle of the city. There are fields of grass and shady trees surrounding a small pond with a fountain. Multiple times I have gone here and found baby ducks in the pond.
