El Dorado Seaside Suites Resorts in Riveria Maya, Mexico: An All-inclusive Resort Review

Image
A romantic dinner on the beach    November brought the cold winds, but now snow to the city of Philadelphia. Which is the worst kind of weather. November also brought my two year anniversary! We really wanted warm weather so I planned us a trip to Rivera Maya, Mexico! We stayed at the all-inclusive El Dorado Seaside Suites. The following blog post is about our experience at this beautiful resort. I wish I could share more photos, but my phone broke on this trip :( El Dorado Seaside Suites Overview (Not my photo)    El Dorado Seaside Suites is apart of Karisma resorts and has many sister resorts in Caribbean destinations. This particular resort is one of the smaller resorts. It is an adults-only resort located in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It is about an hour from the Cancun International Airport and about 20 minutes from the town of Playa del Carmen.  The Resort itself is quite big, yet absolutely gorgeous at every corner with multiple flowers, tr...

Nanny Abroud: My expirence in London

Image
I was a nanny for over three months in London, U.K and it was one of the best experiences I have had. It is a perfect way to experience a new location and culture while making the money you need to continue your travels.      I moved to London in May of 2018. I arrived without a job and without a plan. I had a week of free housing thanks to a friend. Within this week I fell in love with London and wanted more time to visit. So I moved from Airbnb for a little bit while I search for a job to pay for this extended trip.           You can be like me and go places with no plan and hopefully, things work out. However, I recommend having a job lined up before arriving if this is something you know you are going to do in the city. There are many websites to do this with. I highly recommend  Aupair World .     After a week of living in London, I found an au pair job for a wonderful family. With two parents in full-ti...

Three Life Lessons From Surfing Everyone Should Know

Image
Good morning my travelers! Hopefully there are some surfers out there that can relate to this post. However, to my non-surfers, these are still great lessons in life. I have only been surfing for a year, but it had changed the way I live. Surfing continues to teach me something new every time I go out and battle the force of the waves. After every wipeout, I still am eager to keep going and these are the main reasons why.   1. You only need 30 seconds of courage to change a moment   So many mornings I have stood with my surfboard in hand and just watch the freezing cold water lick the bottom of my feet. That icy cold water is the hardest thing to jump into and some days I really do not want to get in. But, take a deep breath and sprint. It takes 30 seconds to fully be in the water and a minute to adjust to it. After that, the hardest part is over and you can enjoy the ocean from your surfboard. In life if we just take those 30 seconds to sprint we can change entire moment...

How to Get Free Accommodations Traveling

Image
We all love traveling, but many of us do not have the funds to travel abroad for every vacation. Well, I have good news for you. Traveling does not have to be as expensive as you think. Here are three ways to travel that you can get accommodations for free! View from volunteer accommodations in Ecuador  1. Workaway Work Away  is a great community to look into if you want to travel. This website has hosted from many different countries. The idea of the website is to have people who are looking to travel connect with host looking for helpers in return for accommodations. There is a wide range of what kind of work offered. From farm help to childcare, there is work for any kind of traveler. Different hosts offer different accommodations in return. Some can only offer a spare bedroom, while others will offer meals and a small stipend.  Farm Land  2. Au pair  If you love children like I do, this is a great opportunity. Being a nanny for a family abroad ...

Ibiza in the Spring

Image
Hello, my travelers! We have all heard of stories of Ibizia. Where there are crazy parties and huge crowds. Well, I am here to tell you about the other side of Ibiza, the "off season".  My boyfriend, Collin and I began our travels to Ibizia in the first two weeks of April. We got extremely cheap round trip tickets ($15) from Barcelona from  Ryan Air . We arrived at a very nice Airbnb right next to the beach. I highly recommend this Airbnb, the host was extremely kind and helpful and it was in a great location. Check it out  here .  Of course, the first thing we did was go to the beach for sunset. The colors were stunning and the entire beach was just for us. The next morning as we took off to explore, we instantly noticed how quiet the town was. The busy season for Ibiza does not start until closer to summer in June. However, this does not mean that the little island did not have amazing things to offer. With the tourist away, the restaurants, bars, and clubs would b...
