Hello, my travelers! We have all heard of stories of Ibizia. Where there are crazy parties and huge crowds. Well, I am here to tell you about the other side of Ibiza, the "off season".
My boyfriend, Collin and I began our travels to Ibizia in the first two weeks of April. We got extremely cheap round trip tickets ($15) from Barcelona from
Ryan Air. We arrived at a very nice Airbnb right next to the beach. I highly recommend this Airbnb, the host was extremely kind and helpful and it was in a great location. Check it out
here.
Of course, the first thing we did was go to the beach for sunset. The colors were stunning and the entire beach was just for us. The next morning as we took off to explore, we instantly noticed how quiet the town was. The busy season for Ibiza does not start until closer to summer in June. However, this does not mean that the little island did not have amazing things to offer.
With the tourist away, the restaurants, bars, and clubs would be only filled with locals. Thus, making us feel more immersed into the culture of the island life. Everyone was extremely friendly. At times we were the only ones in the restaurant and the chef would give us special attention and a very authentic experience.
One of the best things we did was rent bikes for a couple of days. We were able to get anywhere we wanted to go; resturants, beaches, and beatiful views.
One of the best views we went to was at the walled old town, known as Dalt Vila or "the high town" in Spanish. The wall actuall was a fortuas to protect against the French in the 16th century. We were able to bike to the top of the hill before we had to start walking around. There was an amazing view of the town and very interesting architecute of the walled city.

The next best thing we did was a Standup paddling tour. We used the company,
SUP Paradise Ibiza. Due to going during pre-season we were able to book a tour the day before we went. Plus, a BONUS, it was just us on the boat! Our guide, a Ibiza local was amazing and extremly friendly! He made our experience so fun! Once we were greated we went out to exoplore a little cove with paddle boards. Once we paddled into the cove we were able to go snorkerling. The water was still cold enough to wear wet suit, but we were still able to see hundrededs of fish. On the way back we were blessed with fresh pinapple and cold beverages. Before we took off to do som cave exploring before we sailed back during an incredible sunset.

Major Takaways
Ibiza was a great place to visit before the busy season. There are not as many toursists there. Thus meaning you will get a more authentic expirence of the local culture in Ibiza. Things are super easy to get into and book. Those who want to go and party there, you still can. There are still bars and clubs open (not as many), but they will not be filled like they are during the busy season. Therefore, there is no waiting in line or large cover fees. Its just you and mostly locals.
